The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection, or the IBPS, is yet to release its notification for the recruitment of clerks this year. But just like in 2021, the administration would make the announcement online. The authorities are going to conduct the procedure of selection by following a three-step process. This includes the preliminary exam, mains and verification of documents. Here’s more about what you should know about recruitment.
Overview
As a whole, 11 nationalized banks would recruit clerks from the candidates who make it to the finals. Just like the IBPS clerk 2022 notification, candidates would need to apply online. Graduates in any discipline are eligible for application. However, no candidate should be under 20 years or above 28 years of age. There is age relaxation for exempted categories. The fee remains Rs. 850 for unreserved candidates, while SC/ST/ OBC/ PWD and ex-servicemen would need to pay Rs. 175 for the same.
Along with the notification, the administration would share details on the total vacancy, as well as the state-wide vacancy.
Salary Details
As a provisionally selected clerk, you would receive a salary as per the basic pay scale that your recruiting bank decides. However, you can also enjoy a number of additional perks in the salary slip. This includes House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), Traveling allowance (TA), special allowance, furniture allowance, and newspaper bill, among others.
However, upon joining the bank, you would need to complete a three-week training program that the respective bank conducts.
Exam Patterns
Those appearing for preliminary exams would have to prove their mettle in three different subjects. These are Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability and English language. The total mark allowed is 100. Of which, 30 questions would be from English, and 35 questions would be from Numerical ability and Reasoning ability. There is a negative marking for each wrong answer. Also, candidates get 20 minutes to complete each subject.
For the Main tests, qualified candidates would need to appear for examinations in four different disciplines. They are English language, Reasoning ability, General and financial awareness and Quantitative Aptitude. The total number, as well as the total questions for General/ Financial awareness and that Quantitative Aptitude, is 50 for each. However, for the reasoning ability portion, there are 50 questions to appear for 60 marks. For the English language, you have to appear for 40 questions for 40 marks. The Mains are conducted on an online basis. The IBPS Clerk 2022 Notification would throw further light on the examination pattern.
