Everest base camp trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. It is an exciting and adventurous journey to the base of Mount Everest, passing through beautiful landscapes, high passes and villages. The trek begins from Lukla airport where we fly from Kathmandu to Lukla airport (2800m). After reaching Lukla we start our journey to Everest Base Camp via Phakding (2600m), Namche Bazar (3440m) and Tengboche Monastery (3860m). On the way to EBC we pass through beautiful Sherpa villages and famous monasteries such as Gokyo Ri, Dingboche Monastery, Gorak Shep and Pheriche. SummitClimb team will guide you through out the trek. Apart from trekking, SummitClimb offers climbing mountains located in Nepal. Some of them are Everest, Manaslu, Lobuche, Island Peak, Lhotse and many more.
At Everest Base Camp we can see panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and other peaks of the Khumbu region. We also get a chance to meet friendly Sherpa people who live there permanently with their local culture and lifestyle. The Everest base camp trek is a combination of different trails, which makes it very challenging to complete.
The Everest base camp trek is for those who want to experience one of the most thrilling journeys of their life and witness some of the most breath-taking sceneries on Earth with their own eyes. It is also for those who want to challenge themselves physically and mentally while exploring some of the most beautiful places on earth.
The base camp trek is not a walk in the park; it requires proper planning, physical fitness and mental preparation to be able to complete this incredible adventure successfully without experiencing any major problems along the way or during your return flight home afterwards once it’s over!
EBC is at an altitude of 5,364 meters (17,598 feet), which means that your body has to work harder to get enough oxygen. This can cause altitude sickness, which can make the trek even more difficult than it already is. However, preparing for this trek will help you enjoy it even more! However if you’re up for this challenge then I highly recommend it because it will be one off your bucket list forever!
